The Regular Meeting was opened at 8:22AM.

Secretary Warren presented the minutes from the previous meeting of March 4, 2009.

A motion was made by Chief of Police Brad Hill to accept the minutes, as presented, from the last regular meeting of March 4, 2009.  Second by Member Joyce Molinet.  MPVV.

Financial Report: Payroll –           March 15, 2009 - $318,934.84 – Included 3^rd DROP                                    payment for Robert Weaver.

                                    March 31, 2009 - $296,602.11 – Included Death Benefit                   for Estate of William T. Hall.            

A motion was made by Member Molinet to accept the financial report as presented by the Secretary.  Member Scott Doan gave a second.  MPVV.

OLD BUSINESS:

There was none.

NEW BUSINESS:

Secretary Warren presented the postage bill for January 2009 in the amount of $364.39.

A motion to pay the postage bill was made by Member Molinet and seconded by Chief Hill. MPVV.

DEATHS/SURVIVORS:

Martha J. DeGroote, widow of James DeGroote, passed away on March 10, 2009.  She was 80 years of age.  James passed away in July of 1998 and he had been retired since February of 1974.

Chief Hill made a motion to remove Martha J. DeGroote from the pension payroll.  A second was given by Member Molinet. MPVV.

William T. Hall passed away on March 12, 2009.  He was a member of the 1925 Fund with 20 years of service.  He retired in March of 1973 and left a widow, Shirley A. Hall.

Member Molinet made a motion to remove William T. Hall from the pension payroll, pay the $12,000.00 Death Benefit to the Estate of William T. Hall and to add his widow, Shirley A. Hall to the pension payroll.  Chief Hill gave a second to the motion.  MPVV.

RETIREMENTS:

Officer Austin Matthew Heim, Badge Number 1352, resigned from the Department effective March 24, 2009 after serving a total of 8 days.

GOOD OF THE BOARD:

The next regular meeting will be on May 6, 2009 @ 8:15 AM at the Pension Board office located in the FOP Club at 801 Court Street.
